Bearded Bear Co is a small batch family run company based in Royston, Hertfordshire that puts the customers experience at the top of the priority list every time! Our missions is to provide the highest quality ethically sourced products with the quality control of big Pharma but the love and personality of small batch. We feel our two founders have the perfect combination of experience and qualifications to make this a reality.
Meet the Team
Arron McBlain - Founder
With over a decades experience in high level sales and national key account management, relationship building is something that now comes naturally to him and something he is extremely passionate about. This is going to be at the heart of this business and the customers journey with us at Bearded Bear Co. Once he sinks his teeth into something it is basically all he thinks about until the job is done so it’s safe to say this has taken over his life for well over a year now and he is so excited to finally have launched this business with his beautiful wife Kiya, the less impulsive and more sensible one of the duo.
Kiya McBlain - Cofounder
Meet Kiya McBlain, cofounder of Bearded Bear Co — Chemist by degree, skincare enthusiast by passion, and the steady hand behind our founders “creative outbursts”.
Kiya never used to like beards!! In fact you could say she actually disliked them, this is where bearded bear co was born. Over a year and literally hundreds of different formulas tested, we finally perfected our final products that rein in even the wildest beards, whilst keeping them soft, smelling amazing all day and no longer “stink” as she would often say.
While her other half dreams big and breaks things, Kiya has over 10 years experience working for a world leading pharmaceutical company. This experience has allowed the quality standards at Bearded Bear Co to operate at the highest level, resulting in a product you know you can trust.
Aston McBlain - Chief Mischief Officer
Meet Aston — Age 2, full-time whirlwind, part-time beard oil bottle thief. He may be small, but he’s already made a big impact at Bearded Bear Co (mostly by hiding labels, making dens from packaging, and insisting that everything is his).
Aston’s hobbies include:
* Running off with our packing tape
* Interrupting Zoom calls with loud snack demands
* Quality-testing bubble wrap (with his entire body)
* Saying “No” to absolutely everything
He’s not quite ready to grow a beard (give it a decade), but he’s 100% the energy behind our brand. Family is at the heart of Bearded Bear Co — and Aston makes sure we never forget it. Or sit down.
Oakley McBlain - Junior Mischief Officer
This is Oakley — freshly one year old and already following in his big brother’s chaotic footsteps. Small but mighty, he’s made it his mission to keep us on our toes, hide important things in strange places, and attempt to climb anything that isn’t bolted down.
Oakley’s daily tasks include:
* Unpacking everything we’ve just packed
* Launching packaging materials like they’re Olympic events
* Testing the durability of shipping boxes (by climbing in them)
* Sneaking off with vital items (like our sanity)
He may not be able to say “beard oil” yet, but he’s definitely part of the Bearded Bear Co crew — spreading joy, chaos, and oily fingerprints wherever he goes.
